Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist will assist the manufacturing and management teams in carrying out a wide variety of accounting responsibilities. Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude plus initiative and desire to learn and continually seek opportunities to improve performance. Must possess ability to prioritize, think out of the box, and ensure efficient workflow processes. The idea candidate will need to be highly organized and flexible to navigate in a fast-paced environment with changing and competing deadlines.
Establish and maintain standard costing system
Prepare and review performance analysis reports
Assist in all areas of general accounting practices
Work with Controller with month end closings, annual budgets, and forecast
Prepare financial reports and distribute
Perform reconciliations
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Detail oriented
Excellent organizational skills
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Able to manage multiple task simultaneously and meet deadlines
Ability to efficiently and accurately enter and process data
Prepare various journal entries to maintain the general ledger
Bachelors in Accounting or related field
2-5 years accounting experience in manufacturing environment
Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
