Description:
International Comfort Products, part of the Climate, Controls & Security and a division of United Technologies Corporation, has an opportunity for a Human Resources Manager, at our distribution facility in Lewisburg, Tennessee. This site is a finished goods warehouse for residential & light commercial products.
The HR Manager will be responsible for leading HR initiatives and promoting a high performance culture for the approximately 15 salaried and 140 hourly employees. This position will report functionally to the HR organization, with matrix reporting to the Sr Mgr, Distribution Center. The position provides leadership on various initiatives surrounding employee engagement, leadership effectiveness, talent acquisition and development, compensation, policy compliance and employee relations across the site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Partner with leadership to communicate and implement HR programs that support business goals and drive results
+ Provide effective execution of all Human Resources processes, including the Leadership Development Review (LDR), Performance Management, Salary Planning, etc
+ Advise and counsel senior leaders and managers in order to optimize employee engagement, team development, and organization effectiveness; initiate actions and activities to build and maintain morale
+ Serve as focal point for communications across the organization
+ Ensure proper staffing levels, infuse talent into the organization and improve bench strength
+ Objectively assess and bring to resolution employee relations issues
+ Work closely with management and union representatives to quickly resolve issues and ensure contract adherence
+ Manage site grievance process
+ Counsel employees on performance, career planning, work/life balance and other topics
+ Consult with clients to understand training and development needs, and advise accordingly; develop and deliver selected training programs to address specific needs as required
+ Advise managers on compensation-related decisions to ensure competitiveness and internal equity
+ Counsel managers through challenging performance management situations; support managers in developing and communicating plans to address areas of improvement
+ Compile, analyze and report HR metrics; lead efforts to provide HR with standardized tools
Qualification:
+ 2 -5+ years of relevant HR experience and previous labor relations experience
+ Strong experience working with senior leadership to communicate and implement HR programs to support the business goals
+ Must be business minded and demonstrate an understanding of how to link HR initiatives to business objectives
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, strong teaming orientation and high adaptability
+ Prior demonstrated experience with ACE/Continuous Improvement tools is a plus
Education:
+ BA/BS in business, human resources or related area of study MA/MS/MBA is preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
